I have the same 2 condition and had to be vaccinated as a nurse in January. I promise you that an insulin syringe ( tiny) and the smallest of needles are used. I got the Pfizer jab and felt a little cold like following day with slight sore arm. My dad has now been diagnosed with cancer and im so glad I got it. Believe me although I give vaccines im not most comfortable with injections. I hope this reassured you a little and I wish you all the best my love. Ultimately its up to urself and how you feel but with these illnesses you are mere at risk of covid and long covid. Tell the person you are afraid and I would hope that they will help you xx

I haven't had the vaccination yet so I can't comment on that, but I wonder if you have heard about the link between inflammation and depression. There is a good book about it called the Inflamed Mind by Edward Bullmore. amazon.co.uk/Inflamed-Mind-...

He started out in rheumatology, and realised that many people with RA had depression. At the time it was dismissed as of course they had depression, wouldn't you be depressed if you had RA!

But then he trained as a psychiatrist and eventually realised that there was a link between the two, but it was the inflammation causing the depression and brain fog.

It is worth reading the book. It might not solve your problems, but sometimes just understanding what is happening with our bodies helps us to cope better.

Startrek65 .Apart from the fear of injections . I could have written your post myself. I have fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis too.

The brain fog and fibromyalgia flares seem worst under stressful situations.

I’ve had my first COVID jab. I had the Pfizer one last Thursday. The anxiety of felt getting there made my fibromyalgia turn up the volume... but the injection was over so quickly it was fine. I found the process of negotiating the building and getting help from the friendly volunteers more stressful. I had quite a sore arm for 24 hours, was a bit sleepy and achy? But. I put the aches down to fibromyalgia

I have been less mobile since lockdown, made worse due to lockdown distancing. I have been afraid to go out for fear of falling.

I feel for your situation .

If you can please have the vaccine ? It will help make life bearable again eventually.

Take care

Hello Startrek65, I had my covi d vaccine yesterday and I honestly didn't feel a thing, just a wee bit cold today but that's all. I feel more content now that I've had my vaccine. I too am struggling with fibro, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and spondylolisthesis with all the indications pointing to me needing back surgery which I am very reluctant to go for. Your health is your wealth! Thinking of you - With Warmest Wishes.
