Hi Sonia88

I can relate to the symptoms you are having. I had to quit my job because of the extreme fatigue, sleep deprivation, chronic pain, you name it.

Do you actually sleep or lie in bed? I don’t sleep for a week sometimes but spend most of my time in bed. My symptoms get worse with activities such as washing a single plate. I find it frustrating.

Take care 🌺🌸

Hi painny I am sleeping I'm on Amitriptyline wich helps. Other wise I'll be awake all night.

But even during the day I'm so weak and tired I can barely even do the simplest jobs around the house.to the point were I had to hire a cleaner who also cooks for me as I'm tht tired all the time

Sorry to hear that, I have to do everything by myself 😂 I think you are having the side effects of the medication. That medication makes a lot of people drowsy. Try to see a neurologist or a pain doctor. GPS can make these referrals

That sounds great. Wish everything having to do with pain and fatigue was a result of the medication, but without meds I cannot get up to do the work, physical work, I have to do. What might make someone drowsy wakes me up. Morphine gives me pain. Each body is a mystery and each is very different from another. I have to take so many meds, but I work hard and manage to do work and take care of my life alone. It has been this way since the late 1980's and I am now 73.

This might sound silly but how did everyone here get diagnoised with fibromyalgia? I have Psoriatic Arthritis and no thyroid and Ive been having a horrible time with random pains (non joint areas)in area like fore arm and my back.

Iv been complaining fr 6 years about my pain to always be told its stress.

I went to see a chiropractor and told me I had fibromyalgia. Went back to my dr and demanded to be referred to a specialist. She confirmed it

Thanks for the reply...... How was it confirmed and do they treat it or just throw you away with “just learn to cope” response?

I'm under review for a few diff meds. A few of them had wierd side effects.

The rheumatologist confirmed the diagnosis. So now I'm being referred to physio and the pain clinic. There is diff meds the dr can give u. Just ask to be referred to a specialist. Good luck

I had so much pain I couldn't work and was disabled. Originally diagnosed with MS. Then was told it wasn't MS but my emotions caused my pain. I thought that I didn't feel crazy but I went to a mental hospital, convinced if my emotions made me hurt that bad, something inside my mind had gone very awry. The psychiatrist, after a few days and several meetings, said I had FMS, put me on medications. In those days, the meds had me moving and quickly. Now I also have three spinal fractures, stenosis, advanced arthritis not only in spine but every joint from hands to feet. I take powerful pain killers but they work. Yet the FMS is hell although I still often feel it doesn't really exist, as in the beginning, before it was ever named.

Sonia88:

Here is a long shot, but it can't hurt to try it; its cheap and gives fast results with fatigue. It sounds like you might have a compromised immune system; it happens especially when you are distressed for long periods. Basically, you need to jump-start your immune system.

About 25 years ago, for many months I was constantly tired, I couldn't work at my home-office desk for more than half an hour without needing to take a nap. Then a client of mine suggested taking "Elderberry Extract" and I did. I took 2 oz after dinner and 2 oz the next afternoon after lunch. That day I was full of energy and it found me outside repairing the back roof; it was amazing; I haven't had a fatigue problem since. Another story; my sister told me that for the last year when she got home from work every day she didn't have the energy to do anything but go to sleep. After taking the elderberry extract she was up and about and hasn't had that fatigue since. There are many stories like this.

You can get the elderberry extract in many places, but the one that works best is Sambucus, which you can get at the following link (or elsewhere):

iherb.com/pr/Nature-s-Answe...

Important: ignore the dosage instructions on the bottle for immune system "maintenance", it doesn't work to jump-start your immune system; you need to take 2 oz in the evening and 2 oz the next day to jump-start your immune system. Mixing it in a small glass of water makes it easier to swallow.

If the elderberry extract works...great, if not you can rule out your immune system as the cause of your fatigue problem.
