Hello

The relentless pain is ridiculous its enough to drive one mad combined with the fatigue and brain fog including lack of sleep and much more makes it a very isolating illness

But also at the sametime you can still gather courage to fight on

Blessings and love to all

I hear you. My stomach has been blown out from meds and stress it’s affects me fibromyalgia terribly and stomach meds not helping with fibromyalgia. I picked up some taurine from supplement shop. It helps protect cell membranes. It’s been a few days and I can say I’ve noticed a difference in myself taking 1000 mg a day with food in the morning. It’s not expensive and no side effects or known interactions. I read about it somewhere else and I was like why not $13 bottle. Try it

I have hypothyroidism (thyroidless) and have had Psoriatic Arthritis for 3 yrs now and it’s only been the past 3 months that I’m feeling better although not 100%.

Thing I’ve done to try and reduce my pains (Rheumy) can do only so much! I’m currently on Cosentyx injection (help with PSA) but has not gotten rid of the pain that attacks my tendons that attaches to my bones. Hands, feet, knees, hips, back it’s insane.

What I use (D3, Mag and K2)I think these are a miracle my issues have lessened a lot when I started these religiously. My D levels are borderline low.

1. Vitamin D3

2. Magnesium capsules

3. Vitamin K2

4. Turmeric powder

5. Probiotics

6. Advil (at bedtime)

7. Excedrine extra strength (AM only)

That sounds like an interesting cocktail, if it works why not. Glad to hear some one say they feel a little better.

I tried the pain medication route Cymbalta that caused horrible bruising and I didn’t want to rely on pain meds.

Yes you can buy it online. You can buy it from any health food store too

Sorry to hear you are struggling with the pain side of your illness, it is relentless in many cases. I have had multi pain now since 1990 I am taking three painkillers plus rub on creams with very little releive for my current flare up. Have to take things for my stomach to prevent damage too. Oh how I sympathise with you, there is not even anywhere to go in an emergency in many areas in UK for advice and I understand why some people go mad as you say , others just simply take their own lives rather than suffer. Do try to find things that help you, I am fortunate my pain reduces with rest & warmth but we can't spend our lifes sitting on the couch with no exercise. I am waiting for a knee replacement which will reduce my pain & improve my mobility somewhat again . I have been waiting since last May and no further forward sadly. The down side is I will be in pain still after op & immobility for several months and agree with you that these chronic illnesses especially pain cause much social isolation which just makes you feel worse especially if you have been active in your life previously. Every best wish Kate

Oh my goodness how I relate to yo & your pain,I’m in cronic pain constantly &can only take small does of oxynorm & paracetamol because of my kidneys also can’t have operation, for my hips because of my heart but the pacemaker helped. I have curvature often spine & osteoporosis in my rib cage. Do you know I sometimes wonder is it worth all the pain.

I sending you good wishes that you will get some relief,

Good luck ❤️Peggy ❤️

Thank you Peggy76, I may be able to have a spinal injection but after the pain since a knee injection I am not sure, but its the only choice so fingers crossed if and when I reach my place on the list.

You are definitely not alone. I have had RA since childhood with OA and knee replacements following in my late 20’s. The pain from Arthritis alone can be so debilitating without the onset of Fibromyalgia.

I have suffered nerve damage in my leg as I have had to have several ops on one leg, which could be what triggered Fibromyalgia, so I was already on a mixture of pain meds so have never been offered any additional meds.

I feel like I am in a constant battle with my body and some days I just accept it and try not to beat myself up for resting up.

Knowing there are others here does help xx

Sending gentle hugs
