Like many people with chronic pain I'm fed up with it. I am equally fed up with the singular myopic approach taken by many medical professionals. As I've multiple conditions it is very difficult to know where the pain comes from; and even more difficult to get the medical professionals to take the impact on your life seriously. I'm writing this very early in the morning as I hardly sleep due to the pain in spine and legs. Would love to hear from others who are in similar situation and how they manage it all. Hope everyone is keeping safe and well.

New on here: can pain only be treated successfully if holistic approach is taken?
Hi I am in a lot of pain just now between my joints and my stomach .be for my knee replacement surgery I was not in a lot of pain but since I have had it done it is the worse pain .I am on strong pain killers for my stomach and they help me with the pain I am getting from my knee.
I have found diet plays a key role. Cut out/down on sugar. Take dairy and gluten out of your diet and it may help. It’s helped me but yes, it’s restrictive! Try a good CBD oil. Pain management mindfulness also helps. It’s not everyone’s cup of tea but may be worth a go, so yes, I think it is a holistic approach. Hope you get some respite.
Hi
It sounds like your spine and leg pain is linked to your spinal stenosis?
I do not know if you are taking medication for it, if you are? you may have a need for your dosage upping or a change of medication...
Are you still fighting your limitations or are you accepting them? This is something that can take a while to hit home with chronic pain.
You could try marking down where your pain is on a body map and work back from there.
You can see my diagnosis’s on my profile and I take Gabapentin and CBD Oil to help with nerve pain.
I'm finding the local NHS pain management service very helpful, nowadays they seem to have taken to the mind/body approach in a big way. Other medics, not so much.
