I’m only on 125 mg a day and my balance is getting worse the longer I’m on it I keep trying to get off it but it’s for my neuropathic nerve pain and it is the only thing I’ve been able to find that helps

Please do physical therapy regarding strength and balance. Even if it hurts.

Hi Oldtiger have been on pregabalin for 9 years now at 300 Mgs three times a day because in 2009 I had my left arm amputated and I’m 100mgs of OxyContin twice a day, plus other drugs. How long have u been on pregabalin it will take time to

That does seem very high. The maximum dose seems to be 600 a day normally. I went over at one point to 700/800 a day but was told to lower the dose. Body gets used to it which is why I am trying to lower it gradually although just recently I have upped it again due to pain.

I am again atm unfortunately. But even that dose does not seem enough at night. I am going spare at night atm. New mri showed another bulge pressing on the sciatic nerve. I am offered another triple injection which I will take. Can’t do with it 😟

Hi there, have you started on 150 mg twice a day or have you been on it a while and the dose has been upped?

Either way to start with or upping it will make you feel spaced out as if you are waking up from an anaesthetic. It takes a while if you are new to it but after a few weeks the body gets used to it and you will feel more ‘with it’

Thanks Emma,I will persevere for a while,I had been on a lower dose but was upped,as lower dose not helping, you are right and I will just have to be patient and keep on wobbling! LOL

Hi,

Maybe talk to the dr if it’s affecting you a lot? I take it too but have always had strange balance issues...

I would go back to my doctor and get the dose reduced to you find a happy balance ,for no point taking a dose that's too high for you for the effects are unpleasant for sure .hope this helps.

in reply toSkinnyKay

I’m fine with my dose,I was on morphine, before so he put me on pregablin

Oh lm sure you shouldn’t be wobbly , maybe you should mention it to your doctor, maybe it’s a side eff
