Hi! I'm new here and I'm so glad I found this site because i really need a rant hahaaa, after some procrastination this morning I finally sat down to do some more of my dissertation. I had this day all mapped out, where I'd be sat typing at my desk till 11! So it gets to 5 and I notice my wrist has started to slip out of place and i'm thinking ohhh no you don't, not today I'm actually trying to get things done! As a hypermobility syndrome sufferer yes I should know better and pace myself but I'm also stubborn hahaa!
Long story short I'm now in bed typing this with one hand, wrist strapped and netflix on.
Does anyone else get frustrated when they really want to get things done but the pain just hits?

Yes, it's so difficult. Hope you get it done. Take care Lynne
Getting to 5 isn't bad, stubbornness is a pretty good trait...
Finding that balance between pushing on or letting yourself rest is tricky, but listen to your body and when it says I need a break - have a (guilt-free) break!
I felt so lazy, and angry at myself for such a long time, but learning to forgive myself and take the time I needed was a big part of my recovery.
Good luck with your dissertation!
Hello newbie... Heck YES... I spend probably 90 percent of my life in bed, and when I do anything I always overdue it because I just want to LIVE life and be like everyone else, lol. Unfortunately doesn't matter how many people tell me not to do so much.. I cant. When Im up to being able to doing things.. Im a maniac..then I suffer.
