Hi does anyone know of an NHS facility definitely offering lidocaine infusions for pain?

It has been recommended by a consultant who I saw privately (desperate due to 8month waiting lists)

Now found out no longer offered locally so looking to join an NHS waiting list where it is offered

Am in the Bristol area but can travel

Thanks

Hi

I'm not sure but I'm having some sort of injection on 23rd September, I will let you how it goes. I'm also being sent to a different pain management but don't know when that is. I see many consultants for different conditions. What do you take for pain? I take oramorph, zomorph, nortriptyline, duloxetine, paracetamol and cuprofen and I'm still in a great deal of pain. Please take care Lynne Please take care Lynne

I had a course of 4 lidocaine infusions over 5 weeks, each week the strength of the infusion increased. I have CRPS (Complex Regional Pain Syndrome) in my lower right leg and it has given me some movement back in my foot and toes, unfortunately that in itself has increased my pain levels but I’m still glad I had the infusions.

I am under the care of Dr Mehrez, pain consultant, in Milton Keynes University Hospital. He was the one who recommended them before I get referred for a scs implant.
