I have gallstones . I’ll need my gallbladder removed . I was looking for other ways to avoid surgery but it’s best to just remove it . Anyone can tell me about there experience with getting it removed what are the symptoms ? Do you feel different after ? This will be my first surgery .

Is the procedure being done endoscopically? Much quicker healing time that way.

laparoscopic cholecystectomy

Hi

That is a much better way if doing it. I had mine out in October 85 at the age of 20!! It was open surgery and took much longer to recover from. Wishing you all the very best. Please let me know how you get on. Take care Lynne

Hi my husband had his gallbladder removed 2 years ago. It was done via minimally invasive surgery. It was slightly complicated in his case as his whole gallbladder was just a mass of stones and it had inflamed the liver slightly. However he went in at 7am and was home by 8pm. He was back at work 5 days later. He has not been on a fat restricted diet since and feels fine.

That’s what I was worried about not being to eat fatty foods not that I eat them everyday but once in a while I crave lol

Never good to eat lots of fatty foods but as you said once in a while. It’s absolutely no problem. Hubby eats fish and chips without any hassle. Good luck

Dear Smfri,

Think twice about an operation. I had my gall bladder removed in a major operation thirty years ago now i have to take bile salts to digest my food. Gall stones can be broken up by a procedure or better still I got a product called Stonebreaker from Amazon for a second bout of kidney stones in January and it worked ! The stones were softened and i passed them , they were like jelly.

Look for Dr. Berg on youtube talking about digestion and the role the gall bladder plays . If you can possibly keep it do. Doctors tend to be one track minded ! KT

So pleased to read KTGard's post. Yes, DO hang on to your gallbladder! Your diet is causing the stones so you just need to change your diet.

I agree, Smfri, stones are caused by calcium in your diet , which we need but the problem is that it goes into all the soft tissues . Not into our bones. This causes stones , fibroids , cataracts all sorts of problems . We need magnesium and vit d3 , and k2 in our diet and supplements to take it into our bones. . Look up Doctor Berg on youtube . He explains it beautifully . I think the video is called Are your calcium supplements killing you / harming you . Or similar. If you look up Dr. Berg and calcium you will find it. Also look at what he says about gallstones and gallbladder removal. And do try the Stonebreaker from Amazon it works wonderfully. My kidney stones were healed overnight. Your inflamation will take time to settle down but you've got nothing to lose by trying it . KT
