HEAD PAIN PLEASE HELP ME

Hi my name is Diane, I live in Sylvester Ga. I'll be 63 in July. Ive been suffering with pain, for months i get very sharp stabbing pains in different places of my head. the pain hurts so bad, i have to stand still just a moment to let the pain pass. it's mostly on the back side of my head more on the left side. sometimes it feels like pins sticking through my head. I have not had a good night sleep for months. the pain comes very randomly and stay for a few seconds and go away . and soon return the pain is so sharp and stabbing i have a lot of stiffness in my neck.I hate going to bed because i can not sleep I can not adjust my head in a comfortable position. so I'm enable to sleep. and now its effecting my ears.it seem like they're clouded up.I'm worried please help me

Hi I’m the same they said I had cirvical neck pain it’s terrible got a memory pillow to help sleep and if I’m reading it takes over and it’s like a nip on the right side, iv lost movment to turn neck to the left, seeing the consultant in July hope she sorts it out

Could they be cluster headaches which are similar to bad migraines. I guess you should get a referral to a neurologist from your Dr being as it's gone on so for such a while and have a CT scan of your brain. Hope they can get to the bottom of it.

Cluster headaches tend to last longer than just a few moments as far as I am aware.

I used to be a radiographer. I really would speak to your GP about them and get a CT scan done just for peace of mind. I'm sure it's nothing as my partner tends to get similar to you.
