Hi all, after seeing a previous post that mentioned ARACHNOIDITIS, i had never even heard of it, I have done some research, and can't believe how much I can relate to it with my pain. Having had 3 different surgeries, which have left me worse off, with pain and sensitivity 24/7. I have had other issues over the past few years with my husband being ill, he past away last year, my GP has basically just been the stress and grief . Kept trying to say it's different, but nothing, so took the bull by the horns and printed off a doctor's opinion from the WEBMD site and sent it to her, she acknowledged and was sending it to Spinal Clinic for their opinion, and just can't believe I have an appointment for an initial appt this week, only 1 week after I sent the report in. Yet I have tried since my last surgery to tell them I was still in pain BUT it is worse and different to previously. I know that if it is, nothing can be done, but maybe I can get some different coping mechanisms. Fingers crossed
Good wishes to all with the lousy problem that no one can see, just keep faking it to make it.

Hi yes after spoke to my gp, had a referral to spinal clinic, said it was a possibility as I have had 3 lots of surgery plus various injections in lumbar area, arranged for MRI scan so just waiting for results in a couple of weeks
I started googling Arachnoiditis and it's saying that it has to do with with being injured in the spine or from infection, which either one i havent had recently. The reason I started looking into it was because I started getting this cold wet sensation inside my left inner thigh. First day I felt maybe five altogether the next day was constantly. I'll see how I go today and will book to see the doctor.
It's always worth getting checked out, the mri did show impingment in both nerve channels both left and right. Waiting for CT scan now as I mentioned I'd previously fallen landing on my back, so wants to check on the implants not broken. It just seems to be one thing after another, been having a lot of dizziness and nausea so went to chiropractor after his initial check over, said not doing anything as referred me back to gp to have Dopler scan on my neck. Otherwise apart from pain etc I'm fit for work according to DWP waiting for tribunal on that too. Hope you managed to see your GP does sound as though it may be something to do with the nerves.
Thanks for the reply. Hopefully the scans come out ok for you. The only thing I can think of relating to my back is the way I sit, I was complaining of a sore back, but nothing major. Let us know how you went.
