Dear Sunshined,

Clearly this is American Football which most of us, outside the USA, have 'Trouble' following. However, all that said, I hope that you enjoy the Championship (if that is the right word). I do think that the Helmets/ Head Shields are a good idea though- maybe we should adopt them too. I have only heard of one team, The Boston Red Sox, so I'm supporting them.

Whatever Team/ Side you Support, enjoy yourself.

Dear Sunshined,

Sorry...Baseball is just, as much, a mystery THIS side- of the Pond. I did visit New England, about twenty years ago. A small place called Phoenicia, near Woodstock. (Very much 'Davey Crocket' country- the man who had 'Wild Front Ears'....!) We, my Mother and I, also visited New York and Niagara Falls. Not bad, for a Three Week Break. The American Open Tennis, was on, in New York, when we visited. I Think, only think though, that Baseball is similar to, our School game of Rounders. Thinking about this...We do have an American Football Team, 'The London Monarchs'- they are in the International League, I believe. This doesn't mean that I understand, the game, You understand...…Is there a team called 'The Panthers' or, is that, baseball too?

Please excuse this 'Limey' ignorance. I know where that comes from though, where we 'Limed', our boats- during the Independence War- in Boston Harbour (Harbor). 'Yankie', was coined, for the Northern states, before your Civil war...So it's origin is unknow to me. Have you any ideas, please? The area of Limehouse, still exists, in London on the Eastern Approaches to the City. See, even though I can't tell a Quarterback from a Burger Bar, I'm NOT totally ignorant.

We are all, so 'Alike' yet Totally Different- or is it Totally Different, yet so much Alike? No matter!

Kindest Wishes

I was in Mexico for 6 months can’t say that was a pleasure also Canada, I enjoyed that. I enjoy talking to you however I will have to get back to you to answer your questions when I can sit here and talk to you, which I look forward to! So till then smiles and good day 😊 talk to you soon!

Dear Sunshined,

What a Lovely, and rather different, 'name'. Do you come from The Sunshine State? I had a friend, many years ago, who lived in Florida- he never understood Your Football either, he had an English video Player- along with power adaptor- and had the Cricket Test Matches, sent over. Oh yes Cricket, no doubt a Total Mystery, to all you Americans- the sound of 'Leather on Willow' (The bat striking the ball). Yes on an English Village Green, in the Sunshine, pint of Bitter (a beer) in hand..... I'm getting Nostalgic and I'm still here! I'm certain that you would, absolutely Love it, if you ever saw this. Afterwards, heading into the nearest pub (a place that sells alcoholic, and soft, Drinks. Often has an Open Fire, in the cold weather. Another English tradition.)

All these Quintessentially English Traditions, in pubs that can be many hundreds of years old. A lot now cater for Families, have Beer Gardens- where the children can play- many have Restaurant Areas again for children. Do you have Traditions, other that the Super bowl and Baseball?

There is always Halloween, and Thanksgiving, both originally 'ours' of course. Actually Halloween, was originally 'All Hallows Eve', and was an Occult Festival...Enough said about that! This is where the Creepy image comes from, the Jack-o-Lantern contained The Soul Of The Dead...and so on. All lovely Happy 'stuff'! Here's me asking you, about your traditions, then telling the History myself!!! Sorry...the question still stands though I, genuinely am, interested in your Traditions. There must be some from the Mid West, or Oklahoma or the Carolina's surely. Some 'Backwater', in Tennessee, Bourbon and branch water in hand? I know that the Great Lakes, have stories of Monsters, so does Scotland's Loch Mess, Many inland Lakes and seas in Africa....Amazing what Dusk coupled with some waves, or weed, can do. Basically if you go out 'Expecting', to see, a Ghost you will!

Anyway, here's me, 'Pratting on' (do you know that phrase?) endlessly. Hope to hear from you soon Sunshined.

Kindest wishes
