Anyone have any clue why I can hear and feel my rib clicking, with associated pain around the area front to back and radiating into my groin

If that was me I think I would try and get a doctors appointment this morning. Your clearly very concerned.

That does not sound good. Did you fall? Did your crack a rib? I would at least call your PC doctor to ask them what’s going on. I hope you find out what that’s all about. Don’t wait to long to find out about that.

I forgot to say if they try to tell you it’s ok ask NO tell them you want an x-ray done.

Years ago I had fallen and the ER doctor pressed against my upper chest and my back and said if you didn’t feel that you probably don’t have any wrong. But guess what I told her that I wanted and X-ray and got one the tech taking the x-ray saw my black and blue and said that must be painful and I told her it was. I went back to my examining room the doctor pecked into the room and says you do have a cracked rib. My husband looked at me and says WOW your good you told her you had a cracked rib she didn’t believe you but you had one. So make sure you find ou what is going on. The way I got the cracked rib was I had tripped on a rug in my sons room and landed on a toy. Well let me tell you that rug was gone as soon as we got home.

Definitely have an x ray. I tripped over a wheel stopper early this year. I landed with a thud on my right side. I only had a sore side for a couple of days. I didn't have an x ray then but a few months later I had a scan for the something else. I had 6 cracked ribs on the right side. All the best Lola

I would head to a&e if your primary can't see you right away.

That is most likely what a Chiropractor would call a "subluxated rib," meaning that it (and possibly other things) were out of proper alignment and/or not moving as they should. That could also possibly be indicative of more serious problem, like a fracture. But that would likely be EXTREMELY painful, which is not what I hear you saying.

In either case, your best option would be to find a Chiropractor (a doctor focused on proper skeletal alignment and motion) and have it evaluated. They'll almost certainly want to take an X-ray first, then if it's not contraindicated, begin making small adjustment moves (skeletal force inputs) to get things back where they should be and moving properly.

Let me know if you need a referral to find the right doctor, and best of luck!
