Warm sunshine still here in Tenerife although we have had some very welcome rain. Storms out at sea were quite spectacular.
Busy few months as we moved. Not far...just along the coast towards the airport. From my window I can sit and listen to the planes coming into land. People coming on holiday, returning from trips abroad, or starting a new life full of hope and dreams.
I de cluttered. Filled boxes. Took rubbish to the tip. Bagged up clothes for the homeless. Took plant cuttings. Split plants. Cleaned and tidied. David couldn't help but had plenty of advice. I ignored him.
Moving itself holds no fear for me. Second nature after years as wife of a serviceman. But I did get help from some really good friends who took David out of my way. Chance to remove some of his 14 pairs of unwarn winter trousers!!
During packing he had his long awaited eye operation. To cut and paste the eyelid thus repairing the entropian.
Same week the pain clinic wanted to inject his facet joints but I said no. It was postponed by 2 weeks and boy was that another success. Add that to the epidural a month ago and he was almost bouncing. The clinic will see him in February and they will all decide which was most beneficial.
And so we moved in here. A beautiful Canarian Finca on the edge of a banana and avocado plantation. Thick walls...wooden doors, shutters, and cupboards. Big garden with huge palm trees...not much else so plenty of scope for me...and a pool.
I fell over one of the dogs. Landed splat on my knee and tiled floors are most unforgiving. A&E for xrays and yes one shattered, mushed up, knee.
Verdict?
Rest.
With 2 Collies and 2 rescue Cockers plus David....no chance
Sighs
