Has anyone started Lyrica while still on Gabapentin? Has anyone been prescribed this?
The Gabapentin is just not helping my pain.
Please anyone let me know if Lyrica has helped while still on Gabapentin.

Would think it an unlikely combination to be prescribed concurrently as they both do similar things in similar ways. Pregabalin is ‘stronger’ than gabapentin but would think adding one to the other would just confuse things (like which one is working and/or which one is causing side-effects).
As they both do the same / similar thing I would imagine that increasing the dose of one of them would be more likely than taking both at the same time.
Have you been prescribed them both by the same doctor?
🙏🏻
i was taken of lyrica and put on gabbipentin they are sister drugs and you shouldnt be taking both as i had to stop taking lyrica befote i could take gabbipentin
I do believe you're right on this as I looked lyrica up while ago.
I am on Lyrica not the other medication you are on. I have excruciating nerve pain and I find Lyrica is the most affective drug. Did you get the Lyrica from the same doctor that prescribed the other medication? If so I would assume its okay to be on both.
Gabapentin made me depressed and gave me suicidal thoughts so I have been on lyrica or pregablin ever since. These are also not affective so I been put on new drugs next month but I am pretty sure you will need to reduce the gaba before upping the lyrica. I also find they have made me gain a lot of weight so hoping new one's are the right ones for me. Pregablin worked amazing for a few month in beginning
