Has anybody had A L5/S1 facet joint arthtopathy

I have exaggerated lumbar lordosis and they want to operate shaving the bone, I’m looking for anyone whi’s had this procedure please?

Sorry Delboy1 but I haven't had this procedure. I am very familiar with SI joint problems though and I know how debiliatating it can be.

How is it affecting you in your daily life ? Have you been given any information on success rates for this operation and what the recovery time is likely to be ?

Hi. The pain is worse in the morning after lying all night and sitting. Once I’m walking about I know it’s thete. I am looking at having a lumbar epidural injection of steroid. If this doesn’t work then will have the op. Success rate is high and will give me 80-85% improvement. It is about 3 months recovery.

I am looking to have the lumbar epidural injection of steroid first to see if that works. If it doesn’t then will have to have the operation. The success rate is high and will give me 80-85% chance of significant improvement. It’s about 3 months recovery.
