Sorry Delboy1 but I haven't had this procedure. I am very familiar with SI joint problems though and I know how debiliatating it can be.

How is it affecting you in your daily life ? Have you been given any information on success rates for this operation and what the recovery time is likely to be ?

Hi. The pain is worse in the morning after lying all night and sitting. Once I’m walking about I know it’s thete. I am looking at having a lumbar epidural injection of steroid. If this doesn’t work then will have the op. Success rate is high and will give me 80-85% improvement. It is about 3 months recovery.

Hi Dee

It is the most painful in the morning and when I sit for a while and then get up. It is always there during the day. I am looking to have the lumbar epidural injection of steroid first to see if that works. If it doesn’t then will have to have the operation. The success rate is high and will give me 80-85% chance of significant improvement. It’s about 3 months recovery.
