Not sure most of us can help as morphine patches doesn't exist in the UK.

I am reducing my Butrans at the moment from 35mcg to 30,my sciatica is also playing up so I do know how you feel,I take paracetamol which seems to go well with the patches,it doesn't get rid of the pain but it does dull it a little, good luck.

No worries so it’s a 10mcg patch. It releases as you say the above dose per hour and is designed to work very differently to morphine sulphate .

I cant help pain wise as in painkillers but i have suffered with sciatica years and i was given some exercise

To do at physio and they work a treat

U can just google sciatic pain stretches and there show u them.

At first ur find it hard as sciatica means ur sciatic nerve has shrunk through pain so it means releasing it and restretching it and at first it can b quite hard stiff and uncomfortable but once u start doin them little and often hr notice it will start easing up.

I do mine every day as soon as i get up and before bed as that when ur most likely to get it and it has worked well for me .. i used to have it at least 3 times a week now i get it once a month or so

Hello. I suffere from sciatica and discs issues on full spine from two years. I've tried all kinds of steroids in spine facet joints and joints, but nothing worked. In fact they left me in more pain. So, I saw the Pain management doctor and have Lidocaine infusion, which helped me allot. Now, I could reduced my pill number to the half. I also have Fibromyalgia. I still have some pain and the weakness in spine and legs, but I can tell you I'm much better. I can have infusion done two time per Year. I have the firs one done in December and just now the real pain start coming back.

Hi Monikoki.. Love the that name .. Thank you for your reply.. what is a Lidocaine infusion .. I have lots of other pain but if my lower back pain in the discs could be eased I hope the sciatica will ease off too..I have tried stretching and physio but the pain in my other regions gets worse .. physio and exercise is good but in other areas it kills ..I used to be a fitness instructor until I couldn't teach it anymore..So I do stretches 3 times a day to keep my self supple ..but that's all it does..

Hi and sorry for my late response. Lidocaine infusion is an IV liquid, kind of anaesthetic which makes your pain centre to less active. You can ask your Gp to refer you to see Pain management doctor, and ask about it.

I have had sciatica years about two years ago went to a osteo ( not one that clicks u in to place awww that noise) and she realigned me and pelvic area and gave me so pelvic sciatic stretches to do and i hardly ever get it now!

I do my stretches 3 times a day ( 2 in week as i think my work would think id gone mad if i got down on floor stretching)and it keeps it at bay!

Sciatica is usually caused by the sciatic nerve either being trapped or pressure put on it... so it shrinks itself coz it in pain so u have to restretch it thats why the exercises work.

I stretch before it shrinks so it gets used to not shrinking
