Cervicle disc pain: I have a herniated cervicle... - Pain Concern
Cervicle disc pain
Disc hernia is a very painful situation to be in. I feel your pain. I had Lumbar 5 herniation and sciatic symptoms. In terms of painkillers docs usually start you on nsaid like ibuprofen naproxen, or opiate drugs such as cocodamol tramadol or even morphine if the pain is unbearable. People react differently to medicine so it’s what your comfortable with really.
You need to get an MRI scan to see if anything can be done to fix this issue. The numbness and tingling sensation in neck arm shoulders will not go away until you take some sort of nerve blocker such as gabapentin or pregablin. These drugs put the brakes on the brain which is sending signals down the spinal cord and telling you your in pain.
You need to decide if you can’t deal with the pain, will you risk having a surgery with all the complications they tell you.
I hope I have been helpful and I wish you feel better.

Hi Buzz I have herniated disc in my neck at C5/6 according to nuerosurgeons. It gives horrible pain in shoulders and right arm. I have been given tramadol naproxen and pregabentin. I am now offered nerve root injection by nuerosurgeons as pain is excruciating. Did they let u do an MRI? I did one and it did show the herniated disc and nerves trapped in them. I have this now for 2 years
