Don't be embarrassed.
It might well be a little burst blood vessel. To put your mind at rest speak with your GP or pharmacist.
x.
This is can be for a number of reasons. See a GP to determine what they are.
Hi Craig
Nothing to be embarrassed about. If you're in UK then you won't get to see a GP till earliest Wednesday. Have you bought Germaloids cream? I would try this for a day or two. Also increase water intake and fresh fruit and root veg if possible. I can think of two places you can buy Germaloids cream tomorrow.
Then arrange to see GP when you can.
Was it a particularly stressful visit? That can cause internal blood vessels to break. However, if the way and type of faeces has changed, go to your doctor asap.
If it was bright red blood then it's likely to be a hemorrhoid bleed. As others have suggested hemorrhoid cream would be good but you also need to take care of the constipation that's causing the Android problem. I don't know what kind of medicines you have in the UK for it but I get great results with something called Miralax. Be very careful about using stimulant laxatives though.
Blood in your bowel movement typically looks black and can be tarry consistency to it.
Hi Craig I'd say you've nothing to worry about in my experience it seem like piles related.Amkoffee has given you sound advice. There are creams to take away the discomfort and itching. See your GP .To reassure you even more I did the bowel cancer test and I'd had bright red blood in my stools just a few days before doing the test and it came back clear. So Craig get on with Christmas have a great time and see your GP after new year
Bobk.
We all try to give a bit Of advice when
we can whether you think it's good advice or not.when people don't even acknowledge it
.It pisses me off
Hi Craigscott, yes piles can cause a small bleed, especially after going to the toilet, and speak to any pharmacy and you'll get an over the counter cream to keep them in under control, and yep it can cause different types of pain, a dull ache, to shooting pains up the back passage, and that feeling like you want to clench your buttocks and scratch at the same time, however piles can be a long term problem and sometimes surgery is involved to correct any long-term issues, but this is probably the last common way to cure them, it all depends on the size and whether you are having major problems with them, and if there's any fresh blood in the stool itself that tends to be streaky in appearance that could be worth getting it checked out, and if your stools are black and tarry that's old blood further up in the bowl, and smells awful, so a good old fashioned chin wag with your GP and all being well things should be OK, and no heavy lifting and a healthy diet and maybe some senna tablets if your having to push to go to the toilet, but only if really needed, all being well you'll be able to enjoy the new year, ttfn
Thank you all very much for replying.
