Anxiety you say...because of bad pain. I can understand depression but not anxiety.

Can you explain why or what you get anxious about?

Pain brings on anxiety really bad for me also. I begin to flip out and I can barely breathe because of extreme pain it's so overwhelming and unbearable. I know exactly what their dealing with.

How about you change your GP, if in uk see the practice manager. Or see another doctor to try and find out why you have pain in your legs. The cramping could be a lack of certain minerals or any drugs you are on.

I have the same symptoms, pain in my back and legs is very sharp, like a grabbing electric shock pain, definitely stops me in my tracks. Don't know if your pain is the same, I had MRI done shows narrowing in spine, facet joint problems, bulging discs, osteoarthritis, but they said where the pain I described is coming from is there are 2 nerve impingements at L3/4,L4/5. I would ask your GP to get an MRI done.

Electric shock pains and some problems concerning the spine can be down to vitamin B12 Deficiency, back and leg pain can be down to low/deficient vitamin D and/or B12 , rainy4u.

I just had blood test results, all of results come back good, no deficiency in those areas. Monday just gone, had Nerve study tests done on hands as are very painful at times, pins and needles, numbness, tests back positive for Carpal Tunnel.

Good you have got a diagnosis rainy4u, if you carry on with pins and needles and numbness (both are listed symptoms of B12 Deficiency) with no relief, be aware that many are reporting that they are being over looked for B12 deficiency. We can still have a B12 Deficiency even if our B12 bloods are 'within range.' and look good or normal.

There are also vitamins that are said to help Carpal Tunnel - B6 and B12.

PTSD can be linked to Hormone Levels

Pain and anxiety are both symptoms of Low thyroid (Hypothyroidism.)

There is also High Thyroid (Hyperthyroidism)

Vitamin B12 and Vitamin D can also go hand in hand, pain in back and legs can be down to Vit B12 and Vit D.

Dizziness, pins and needles are both symptoms of Low/deficient B12. Anything to do with the spine I would be checking out my B12 also. (especially after reading a book called 'Could it Be B12 ? An Epidemic of misdiagnoses by Sally M Pacholok)

Idea only carol53, nip over to another forum on here (Health Unlocked) called 'Thyroid Uk' and write another post to members putting up a full list of all your symptoms. This is one of the best places to ask about Thyroid links, B12, D, iron and ferritin levels and thyroid bloods etc., these people are good at helping when Doctors over look you.

Most welcome Carol53, also just a thought, take a look at any medication you are on as some medications can cause/worsen problems/symptoms too.
