Hi all , After breaking my back last year, It left me In Intense pain, and then to top it off I was diagnosed with having osteoporosis. They said it was rare in men especially with me because I'm so young (48). In may this year I was thrown a life line by being offered vertebroplasty, something to help with the pain and strengthen my spine. Well now after the 6 week recovery period with physio thrown In for good measure, I'm still suffering with Intense pain If I so much as try to do anything physical. I lost my Job way before I had the operation because I couldn't give my employer a date to return to work as I was off on long term sickness. I've taken alot of painkillers but to no avail. My doctor has prescribed me pregabalin 75mg I've been taking them for 3 days with co-codamol but I'm still in agony. Spinal consultant says there Is nothing else they can offer me only painkillers. My doctor mentioned morphine tablets but I need something that will take dramatically ease the pain and give me freedom to move.....can anybody help me with this please........
