hi i have just been told i have a enlarged chamber of my heart ,i have been given tablets and now wait to go to the hospital,i get out of breath doing every day things ,i am 64 years old and have a very active life with dogs and grandchildren,but feel very much in the dark about the conditions can anyone tell me anything

I too have the lower left chamber that is enlarged, diagnosed around 15 years ago when I was getting missed beats and a racing heartbeat. Told by NHS I was normal, and discharged from any further monitoring. I am now 60 and do not get out of breath. So I think you may have more problems than the doctor is telling you.

Do not worry about it, if they find anything they will try and fix it. My father in law got out of breath ten years ago an had a triple bypass within four months and is fit as a flea at 85!
