Sciatica Nerve pain

Hello, am new to the group and being suffering from sciatica and radiation pain since 2011. I have been on so many back pain medicines , steroids, and shots nothing helping at all it feels like my body just breaking down slowly. And ideas anyone am open...

Hi lyn sorry to hear about pain you are in I honestly don't know what to say to you I have same problems and yes they are nasty i have had different meds seem to be getting no where and feel as the person who said it will go away when it's ready is probably correct

Your not on your own but that doesn't mean we don't care because we do

Try doing a bit of walking and a bit of sitting down to see it that helps slightly

Not to worry you but I was in the same boat and occasionally still am despite 2 Cortisone injections, 2 Discectomies and June 2016 I had Fusion! Please keep going and never feel alobe because thats what this site is for, to empathise not sympathise! Take care and I hope your pain levels one day sort themselves out!

Hi All, that Sciatica is really painful. Mine started in June. Sometimes I cannot get out of bed with the pain in my left leg.

I was given 2 nerve root blocks, which give me 4 weeks pain free. After an MRI Scan it showed a spur between L4/5. I am waiting for an operation to shave the spur. Has anyone had this? It would be good to hear.

Rest and heat helps me.
