neck pain my wife as had pain for months can anyone help

Has you wife tried a wheatie bag on her neck. Think you put the wheatie bag in the microwave for 2 mins then put a towel or similar on ones neck and then the wheatie bag. Do this several times a day. In the meantime get an appt with your GP for his opinion. He may send your wife for an X-ray . It could be Arthritis . I have this and the wheatie bag works a treat when needed. If you have a Wilkos near you, I think you can get the wheatie bags there.

You can also put bag in freezer to alternate with the heat. That will nummb any area

Or fibromyalgia possibly, mines often starts in my neck and shoulder then spreads i just thought it was frozen shoulder,now i always wear a scarf to stop drafts from tensing my neck muscles up,i actually ended up in a&e one time because it spread down my back .

Hermes123. I have two trapped nerves in my neck revealed by an MRI. scan some years ago. Consultants refuse to operate because of the dangers of affecting the brain, whilst I agree with what they are saying, I still think this is an age thing. As I know others who have had micro surgery through the gullet from the front and have told me it's the best thing they have have done. But before you start worry about things like that, get yourself along to a good physiotherapist they will soon tell you what your situation is.

Have you tried an ice pack or head phones long walks sometimes help
