Hi im new dont know if im doing this right...my consultant says i have crps... But when i read symptoms of it i hardly hsve them. . i can't weight bare on right foot...xrays and mri show bone marrow defect and fluid in bone..my foot is so seollen2 but my leg gone really thin....im on strong pain killers forvthis to..what do you all think thank you nicola

Hi Nicola - welcome!

I'm a little confused - you say you hardly have symptoms of CRPS yet you then say you can't weight-bear on your swollen foot. Is this the foot your doc says you have CRPS in? As far as I know, CRPS means chronic regional pain syndrome. That means you have pain in one specific place - presumably your foot? So I'm not sure I understand your post?

I hope the painkillers are helping. I'm afraid I can't say much to help as my pain stems from another condition so I don't know much about CRPS, but I wanted to reply anyway. Hopefully, there will be someone along soon who knows more about this condition than I do.

Yeah it is he also said. Bone marrow defect.. Im in agony with it... I have my first app at chronic pain clinic December it cant come quick enough....it feels like it spreading up my leg ...dies2 crps get better .N

Swelling is common in CRPS. My MD says I have a variant of CRPS, it doesn't always have a presentation identical with the text books.

Hi thank you both for reply my toe nails have gone white which i think is circulation because of swellng .. I had mri on monday...will let you know when i get results ..im at my wits end. Nicola

I am pretty new on here as well

I had a work accident 6 years ago ,my left hand got pulled in the drilling machine !!

As the months went by the swelling,pain,shiny skin ,colour changing of the skin got worse and worse !!! The pain is a burning feeling , even the slightest movement I make would cause the burning pain would be 10/10 !!!!!

Nobody can touch my arm/hand or fingers because they r hypersensitive if anyone or anything touches my skin the pain is 10/10 !!!

My GP did not know anything about CRPS !!!!

The pain has got worse , but sometimes it is me what makes the pain worse !!

Stress makes my pain worse,

When I overdo things it causes pain

It's all about PACING and not doing too much ,

I could go on and on

Do u live in the uk ?

Hi Christine yeah i live in the northeast...i don't have burning... I can massage my foot...walk with moonboot and crutches..its really painful..swollen and colourbis awful.... I can also drive...im at my wits end with it N.

Crps is a beast and that's what the Drs/pain specialist calls it !!!!!!!!!

it is such a complex condition it affects nearly everything in the body !!!

I suffer with depression because of the burning pain,lack of sleep,etc

I have been in Bath hospital as a inpatient

Meeting people with the same condition and also fibro

I live with burning pain 24/7
