Hi I've been suffering from iliopsoas tendonitis, shoulder bursitis, Achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis for about 9 months. The hip and shoulder pain is new but the others I've had on and off for about 7 years. The iliopsosas has been really disabling so I'd love to hear about other people's experiences with managing that too. C

Hi so sorry to hear of your multiple pain sites. I find Naproxen 500mg twice a day takes the edge off the bursitis pain. I usually take a couple of Panadol as well but steer clear of Codeine because of the side effects. I'm waiting for a Depomedrone injection in my hip for pain relief and for diagnostic purposes as the symptoms of iliopsoas bursitis and tendonitis mimic those of sciatica due to a prolapsed disc therefore it's quite often misdiagnosed especially in those like me who have scoliosis and disc space narrowing, osteophytes etc. as well. I believe my right psoas inflammation is secondary to metal debris from my long standing (13 yrs.) Birmingham hip resurfacing implant which needs revision but my Consultant is very reluctant to admit this and seems determined to avoid it at all costs. Meanwhile I'm concerned about the surrounding soft tissue damage on both sides but hey, I can walk and am very lucky to have had the plethora of treatment for my hips, knees, feet and spine that I've had so I guess I'll keep smiling too 😀

Best wishes to you for effective pain relief and further treatment.
