Hi.

I'm really sorry that things aren't great at the moment.

Yes I'm drugged upto the eye balls as well due to my Chronic Pain which is 24/7.

Everyday is very very hard, but this Pain is not going to beat/get me down.

The Pain is no longer welcome in my body.

I'm the "Boss"

"Don't Don't" give up.

"Please Please"

Let me "HELP"

Steve.

I'm here anytime you need a "shoulder"

I had major stomarch surgery in 2014 that has caused more probs.

There was no chose really as I was siting on a "Ticking Time Bomb"

Hi Mel - I have DDD amongst other things and am in agony most days. I was advised to cut down my medication after having a spinal implant so I did. However the implant only works on the lower part of the spine so I'm thinking i might have to go back onto medication for the upper spine in which case I might as well have the implant removed a it was inserted to try to get rid of the pain and enable me to cut down on medication. Do you have any advice??

Hi what pain meds are you on? And one thing, do you have trouble at the dentist say - g and he injects and leaves you then back and starts and pain ? May well be a fast metabolizer. Dentist is way to find out. My face never froze ever with locals injections. Used to hate to go until found this out as pain then he would give another local and so on not nice ended up with sore gums from all the injections too. Dentist told me what was wrong. Since then no trouble. I do however find that all meds work a bit faster than usual. CAnt take any generics in particular not an anti biotic as these are too weak. Shows up on me.

Anyway just a thought as pain is shocking and if not treated by meds prescribed could be the reason. Eat em up too fast.

I am in pain constantly right now as in need of hip and knee replacements waited 11months and only 1 to go and then will hopefully get an op. But meanwhile tried I think every pain med. Down to plain codeine now. Heads fine. Pain just about bearable but down to point wonder if I can last out.

Hugs and dont let the bastards get you down! No one knows until got it bad 24/7 I at least get some release if sit. But have to move and sleep is hard to come by.

I thought I had pid too at one point but later diagnosed with psoriatic spondylitis. Is there a possibility that you could see another rheumatologist for a second opinion?

I've had new X rays today for a private surgeon to view. Last ones showed needed hip replacement didnt mention knee but the X Ray showed bad and in need of replacement I was told by physio when he reviewed it.

Anyway no way to see a Rheumatologist I was told longer waiting list than I have waited to see a surgeon. They say our medical hospital system is broken. I'm close to end of year long wait for my BUPA to kick in.

Looking forward to it not the actual but the outcome. Hopefully pain will diminish when I can walk and having sat down, get up without first talking myself into it.

Hugs to you all.

I know how you feel I feel the same on days when there is no end in site. When the pain gets on top off you, and you are so tired you cannot think straight. I try distraction reading, colouring , or box set binging. I always try to remind myself I am allowed bad days, but that good days will happen too. I do what I can but do not boom and bust pace is important to ensure your bad days are as few as possible. Good luck hope things get better for you.

Hi everyone. Just briefly, my problems started with gall stones, and acute pancreatitis, which became chronic. I have had 9 major abdominal op, including a total pancreatectomy, which has left me with diabetes requiring insulin. The ops have left me with chronic pain from ? nerve damage/adhesions. I have Fentanyl patches / Oxynorm / Lyrica and Duloxetine, and like some of you i feel drowsy but still in pain, and very low. I'm under the care of pain consultant, who doesn't want to do anything else. I don't know which way to turn. I often feel that people dont believe how bad things are.

Sue.
