Hip pain
Hi leahbushen1 go to u gp and get them to refer u to a specialist I knew someone who had the same thing he had to have new hIps and now he is ok, he was really bad when he went to the specialist, u said it started about 5 months ago so u have a good chance of getting it fixed. Best wishes to u
Iv tried getting in but it's so busy and I have prom coming up and I'm worried my walking is going to get worse.
Hi get the gp to make a home visit and tell them why u can not go to the doctors or get the doctor to ring u back and tell them u need a referral asap if u don't get any were with u gp go to a&e tell them that u gp won't do anything, I have done that in the past my gp would not refer me so I went to a&e and they sort it out for me so please don't give up
Have you gone to your GP ? Only a doctor can diagnose what's wrong so get there next week. This doesn't sound like something that will just get better by itself.

Hi Leahbushers have you been to an orthopedic d octor? I am experiencing the same symptoms am seeing doc tomorrow
I'm confused; you say you can't get an appointment with your GP for a referral but you saw an orthopaedic surgeon today?? How did you get to see him/her?
Surely if your hips are affecting you as much as that they'd at least ask for an xray or scan to see if it's anything obvious? It must be really painful so no doubt interfering with your revision; dancing at the prom may be a problem if the hip is popping out with just walking!!
I think you need to push for a more detailed review of it.......

I went to hospital because it popped out and it didn't pop back in and I couldn't move and they did an X-ray and they couldn't find anything which hasn't solved it
No it definitely hasn't solved it! Did they mention anything about being hypermobile in that joint maybe? As the other one is becoming the same I'd guess there's something along those lines going on.
Must be painful; did they advise any pain relief?
RJC
They didn't mention anything like that and no they just said it will hopefully get better as you get older which doesn't help me
I suggest you keep a detailed diary of your pain and when you feel your hips pop out. Make an appointment to see your GP to see what he/she suggests & thinks. If they don't offer any ideas, you can ask another GP for their opinion.
Maybe ask for a referral to a physiotherapist? They'll be able to 'feel' the muscle tightness around your hip so may have an answer for you or they can give you exercises and/or stretches to do.
Lots of avenues to explore yet; hang in there!
