I've just purchased Krantom powder Bali variety for pain relief.

Can anyone advise me how much to take and how often. Thanks. Has anyone found it to be effective for neuropathic pain.

So you've bought something (off the internet?) with no instructions for use, or I'll bet list of ingredients, and you don't even know if it's effective? And you want (us) non medical, total strangers, to guess how much you should use for your particular condition? I think I'll pass! 😁

It was recommended to me by several members of this forum which is why I trusted their judgement and purchased it.

Sorry. My reply was a bit harsh. It just worries me people buying stuff in the hope it may help them. If any of it did surely it would be available through mainstream health channels. And, as you say in your post, you have no idea how much to take or when.

In severe pain for more than three years and having tried all the conventional treatments can you blame me for looking at alternative treatments? Almost past caring. Would visit a witch doctor if I thought it would help!

Point taken. 😁 again accept my apologies. Unless you are in that sort of situation, you cannot appreciate what it is like. I have RA and initially in severe pain. I am one of the lucky ones who responded to treatment. So good luck with whatever helps. Just be careful. X

this is found by google

sagewisdom.org/kratomguide....

The article has the following:

"Caution:People vary in sensitivity to kratom, and kratom from different sources can vary in potency (sometimes quite a lot), so these dosage estimates should be regarded as loose approximations. One should always start with a low dose when experimenting with a new batch of kratom. One can then increase the dose gradually with subsequent experiments until one obtains the desired level of effects. DO NOT take a strong, or very strong dose, the first time you are sampling a new batch of kratom. Most people experience nausea when using very strong doses. Sensitive individuals may experience nausea at lower doses. For this reason, it is best to take kratom on an empty stomach when using strong doses (i.e. wait about 3 hours after eating). Some people are hypersensitive to kratom, and may experience adverse reactions (such as severe and prolonged vomiting) when using very strong doses."

Hope this helps.

I do not use drugs for pain control.

For my pain control I use: Alexander Technique, meditation, mindfulness, McTimony Chiroprctic and T'ai Chi. Have done yoga, reflexology and massage.

People are crazy as well as desperate. Do you gargle it, drink it (in what, how much, how often), smooth it on, or stick it up your bum? You've had irresponsible advice. A witch doctor could be safer!

From what I have read, You make a tea with it. Adding another flavour to suit. Plenty of info out there to sift through as with all drugs prescribed , over the counter or otherwise,

Jasmine tea will be my next research project as well as other English growing flowers.

Research, so interesting.

It is just a harmless medicinal herb well known in many countries for its calming effect which may give pain relief. Less toxic and without the poisonous effects of many pharmaceutical drugs.

No doubt I should buy some and keep calm!

Didn't really mean to be so rude but in a quite different context had just just reading on TripAdvisor how people visit Mexico and buy the strongest Antibiotics without prescription to reimport to US for own use or to give away to friends! Pharmacists are happy to repackage in the shop so that US authorities don't see what's what.

That's so irresponsible, I mean using antibiotics like sweets on the basis of some private theory and eventually exposing everyone else to resistant organisms.

Struck me that Krantom was in the same ilk.

I quite agree with you but I don't think krantom is in the same ilk. I purchased from a company based in Dorset called Krantom.U.K. and as far as I can tell they are legitimate. Several people who use this website had recommended it to me.

One thing though it tastes absolutely foul so it must be good for you!

Interesting article. And from the bit I read, The thought came to mind of the prescribed drug Tramadol being addictive.( recent TV article ) .Not that I would ever in a million years take that.

I've read, the usual way to try Kratom is using a Kratom tea bag. But I'm not brave enough to try it.
