Hi I have been on these patches for about seven months now at first they made my skin itchy, but realised to always wash the area after removing the patch with baby wipes, only started on half but didn't do much,so did a full one.......... My experience with these is I only wished I could have them on longer they work don't take away all of the pain but make it bearable to be able to do some light duties I also suffer nerve pain in my abdomen for 2 years now I also take sevradol ( morphine,) fentanyl patch, but without this lidocaine patch I couldn't do much it just numbs the pain while your wearing it ,I know I've gone on a bit sorry but hope it helps good luck !

I used them for several weeks for pain in a shoulder problem which despite the morphine tablets, Oramorph, Pregabalin, duloxetine and paracetamol I'm already taking for my spinal problems was very painful to the point I couldn't move my arm. I had already had an injection into my shoulder which hadn't really worked so I was given these patches to try. They didnt give an instant hit of pain relief but it built up over several days. I found that they stuck over my collar bone quite well and didn't leave any sticky residue. I did find that if you have a shower wait a while and let your skin cool before trying to attach a patch as they stick better to cooler skin.

Hi, Yes I have been on Lidocaine Patches for many years, alongside Morphine, Oral Morphine, Pregablin (the list goes on!!) but I do find these Patches extremely effective to the area you place them! I use mine on my hip & spine. As the other members said they do not work immediately & advisable to apply to clean, dry area of your cool skin!

The Patches don"t take the pain away but numb the area and allow me to do things, I would otherwise be unable to do without them!

If they aggravate the skin the first couple of times, I would advise to persevere with them (unless you have a severe reaction to them?), as it does settle down after a few days!

I wish I could have a "Suit" made of them, as I have Fibro causing wide-spread pain?!!

I sincerely hope they work for you and help you with your pain?!

Sending positive, healing, soothing vibes

Best wishes & Good Luck

LL Xx :)

I have used Lidocaine patches for around 9yrs and they are excellent. I suffer with PHN (post herpetic neuralgia) and the only painkillers which work on nerve pain seem to be opiates along with their dreadful side effects. My only tip would be to use the patches sparingly if possible - after using them for 8yrs I became allergic and had to stop for a while, so it's good to keep this in mind. Hope they work for you!
