I'm sorry I can't help with PIP as I still get the old DLA. Yes you can get it for mental health. You probably need to speak to your GP. There is a lot of info on PIP one the site for mainly physical problems but it might be helpful.

Yes you can get it. The important thing is not the diagnosis, but how it affects your daily functioning.

Make an appointment at your local CAB with the disability advisor, and they can help you work out how to fill out the application.

Hi Joanne1231, you can get PIP on mental health grounds but not sure how it works so I would seek help, maybe MIND could advise. In the days of DLA you had to have a physical disability as well as mental health issues in order to get mobility component. It is so complex so can't give you a simple yes or no.
