My husband suffered with it and he was told to put ice packs on,as it's a trapped nerve due to swelling. Give it a go .
Yes for many years. BI lateral. Surgery x2 and I still have nerve pain. I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy but I have managed to work when I was doing ok, but have missed work when it flares.
Yes every so often.

Hi. Yep, for last 21 years, since 15. First of all put down to scoliosis, then broke lower sacrum, which nerves, including sciatic nerve pass through the sacrum. I then suffered daily, still to, if sit for around 20 mins without moving and lasts rest of day. I got diagnosed with stage 4 end of last year and fair bit found on my utero sacral ligaments, so wonder if endo is responsible or combination of it all. I find normal pain relief dosen't touch the pain, but there are about three types of pills designed for nerve pain. Unfortunately I don't agree with them, but can help others. Wish you all the best as very painful. May be worth asking for mri to make sure not trapped by a disk or such like......
