I have been told by my local pain clinic that I have Fibromyalgia. I am in constant sereve pain and have been for 17 months can anyone help.
Hi Mikew, sorry to hear you're in pain. Have a look on Health Unlocked for a group called FibroAction which is a group for Fibromyalgia sufferers. You could try asking your question there. They're a friendly bunch and very informative
Did the Pain Clinic not offer you any treatment?
Accupuncture and continuing with the tramadol that I am already on.
I'd go to a pain clinic. Then you really have to take it one day at a time. It's not something you can build your life around, or make plans. That really stinks, because you never know if you'll have a good day or one that keeps you at home. Sorry to tell you this but, it's a constant struggle. The older you get the harder it is to deal with it. Hope you find some relief sweetheart!!! xxx Mitzi
the thing with fibro as we are all different as to what degree we suffer and what our capabilities are you have to learn to pace yourself and listen to your body we can't all take the same painkillers for various reasons some people do manage to work but there a few of us are not able to.
Lilian68 thank you for the response at present I am still able to work but soe days I realy wish I had not gone in when the pain levels go sky high and every thing you do, even just breathing hurts like your spine is being riped out of your body.
