Has anyone done 'The Lightning Process'?

Heard about this in New Zealand but it apparently originated in London. It apparently has a very high success rate for chronic pain, fatigue, anxiety, allergies ,etc. etc.. I am currently looking in to it for my daughter who suffers with chronic pain.

Hi! There's a good, balanced article about this on the m.e. action website. I have chronic pain, and this 'cure' is not something I'd want to try. Also its very expensive. I think that I'd read as much as you can and even talk to someone who has tried this pain relief method before you decide to go ahead. But I wish you the best of luck with it. X

Thanks for your reply I will have a look at the m.e. action website. Just wondered why you wouldn't want to try it?

I think its because I'm sceptical about these wonder treatments that cost such a lot of money. But if it works for some, that's fine.

Hi ,I have two friends who have experience with this process....both with very good results.one did it herself and one paid for her young daughter to do it,as her friend had previously paid for her daughter!

The older friend has had ME since 1996...and had been in poor health..she recommends it completely.

The young girl who at the time was newly married. had a virus 4years ago which left her with ME and bed or wheelchair bound..it completely turned her around..it was amazing to see her a year after treatment dancing with her husband at a doo! They found out about the process from another friend who had a daughter who had ME from the age of ten.her early years and schooling suffered greatly.she did the process at 16years and has just finished nursing training..living away from home which is something she couldn't have thought about a while back...

My mum once sent me an article from the daily mail explaining about it..so have a google and look there..

Hope this might be helpful. I hope what ever you choose to do works for you and you see better health . Bestwishes.

If you think mind over matter will work for your daughter, then try the Lightening Process. I've done it for M.E. and it did absolutely nothing as I suffer with a physical illness. However, I'm sure it's good for mental health problems, stress and/or depression - but not the Bank balance!

i've replied to your other post, but no I wouldn't personally bother with it. In some ways it is just a kind of "brainwashing" yourself to not notice pain, and it really does rely on people believing its going to work - so if your daughter is taking a lot of convincing to try it, then its almost certainly not for her.

A friend's daughter tried this for chronic fatigue syndrome a few years ago and it worked really well for her. She had tried many other conventional and alternative therapies beforehand with no success. My friend did comment that she felt her daughter was really ready to commit to changing how she viewed and dealt with her illness, and that this might have had some bearing on the success - if you're ready to take on big changes it could well be more successful for you than if you're stuck.

With regard to the Lightning Process, you definitely have to be ready for this type of approach. I used to be a Lightning Process practitioner, running courses in the UK and Norway at the time. I always found that clients got the best results from a combination of tools. The psychology is an important area, but when combined with a focus on the emotional as well as the physical, I found that the results were consistent and stable.

I share some of the simple physical techniques that I teach to all of my clients at my website and these would be helpful to anyone experiencing pain, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Fibromyalgia etc..

You can get hold of the tools here for free on the right hand column of this page:

We've had great success teaching these simple but powerful techniques. There's more to learn, but these are a great start. If you decide to take a look and download the free resources, be sure to use them consistently for a week or so before judging there effectiveness - they get better with practice - Good Luck and I hope this helps.
