After a shift 4 hours of "Deep Cleaning" I am sore .
The point is that I am sick of I D S and his good for nothing Government Department .
How can I or anyone for that matter give 100% at work when we are only at 50% on a good day .
where are the JOBS for disabled people ?
Under his department guide lines I am sure that even a DEAD person taking the test would be passed "FIT FOR WORK "
Such is the shocking state of Britain today.

Hello pirate
When I was at work we always would say that we needed permission to die, this was a Government Department.
One thing they used to say was if you are to sick or unable to work why are you here?
Then if you were on the sick, you were not working so why are not here ? then they would arrange for
you to see their medical Officer. He generally would ask for light duties, there would then be tut tuts and they would be three choices of different jobs, most would have no light duties so they would then get rid of you because the choices they offered were worse than what you had. even on occasions would reduce your rank There unions were crap and always would buckle under against the worker. Remember the worker cannot attend these boards.
So all I can say is, DO NOT DIE ON DUTY, THEY WILL SACK YOU IF YOU DO.
i know just what you mean i work with in the caring procession we called the NHS i have been off four times with in 12 months all with the same complaint and on going problem with my facet joints.
each time i am off longer then two weeks i too come back on a so called phase back to work with light duties building upto normal duties over a four week period which normaly brings ny problem back on once i back on full duties but they just keep pulling me in .
the latest is that i now need to be in week with out a further episode of sickness for 12 weeks
The NHS seems to be the worst for compassion towards sickness. I have a pain flare up at the moment, but went to work - as I ALWAYS do (sorry to write in capitals and effectively shout, but some people seem to go off at the slightest sniffle) - because moving around was more comfortable than lying in bed. Spent all day sweltering under a stick-on heat pad (which did the trick actually), and had the hangover effects of last night's co-codamol in my system all morning, but I didn't dare take any stronger medication at work. As a result of all this I ended up working 45 minutes over my time, because I was really slow.
My work would probably be considered "light" as it is mostly done sitting down, yet it is mentally draining at the best of times. I am sure I've given 98% today (docked 2% for realising on the way home that I've forgotten to do a tiny admin task, which no doubt will cause uproar). I pride myself in doing a good job but it doesn't leave much in reserve.
Ha ha. Actually, I haven't had a drink for weeks due to medication, yet today I feel hungover as a result of yesterday's marathon at work, so no you really can't win. Don't tell me - your employers have probably dressed up the "same work done in less time" thing as a "you've all got to work SMARTER, not harder", because apparently, that sorts out the whole problem. Ooh, there goes a flying pig.....
I am really grateful to have a job. But sometimes it is so damn hard.
As for myself for every good day at work I get 3 that are not ,as of the past few weeks after my fall in the shower I find it painfull to mop and as a cleaner I do a lot of mopping .
Lately while in a large office with no one there I hurt myself while mopping and I winced with the pain I was holding my shoulder when a manager came in he asked if I was ok I lied and said yes as i straightened up as I need the job.
.So remember and pace youself when back at work lol.
