I've only been on this forum for about a week now,but the support that you've given me already is overwhelming.
My husband suggested that I do this a long time ago,but I felt a bit silly.I ve been having a really low point where things just took over me last week and bit the bullet.
My husband is so supportive and so are my work colleagues, but at the same time they still don't understand fully.
Because my illness varies over different parts of my body at different times,it does sound like I'm making it up,so you try not to say anything at all and put on that brave face ,that I'm sure all of you are used to wearing, and pretend ,a lot of times to make others feel better.
It's done me so much good already to talk to people that are going through the same sort of things, and give me helpful advice.
Thankyou again and I hope you all have a merry 'relitively pain free' Xmas x

Sometimes I think that the vibes I feel from others is as depressing as the pain. But i remind myself that it is only my perception of how they view me. And really only people who are experiencing similar things have any idea at all.
I have wanted on occasion to slap my tens machine on a G P and say "you wear it all day and try and try and function" .
Respect to us all for putting 1foot isn't front of the other, I reckon.
You can just tell by the way people look at you, can't you that they're thinkin'here we go again',and it is disheartening.
You try to hide it but sometimes you just can't,and people get fed up.
Sometimes I think I won't let it get the better of me thn on my weak days I think'ive had enough, can't do this anymore.I don't know where I'd be if I didn't have my husband and kids. They rely on me I can't let them down,so I will soldier on.
And now I have like minded people I can talk to and not have to pretend,I think that will help a lot x
Nobody knows how you feel till they have to go through what you've been through!!
I'm a big believer in angels and I have a special poem that I give to people who are in need of some comfort and support.
When angels sense you need them
And angels always do
They come unseen from everywhere
To help and comfort you
They hover close beside you
Till all your cares are gone
Till they can see you're ready
Once again to carry on
Then some of them fly away
And take their gentle touch
To other hearts that need the love
Of angels very much
But one at least stays with you
As your constant friend and guide
For guardian angels never leave you
They are always by your side!
Print it out and put it where you can get most comfort from it! I've sent some of my guardian angels to watch over you.
If you know of a mystic shop go in and buy a piece of amethyst to keep in your pocket and give it a rub when you feel the need, it will help you through even the hardest times. Or if not go on either amazon or eBay and luck for carved amethyst angel, keep her by your bed to put under your pillow at night.
I hope you and your family have a lovely Christmas and Happy New year.
Welcome on board. Great site and at least you can let it all out on here. I know exactly how you feel as regards to keeping quiet and putting on the " happy " face. I am always looking for at least one thing every day to accomplish, no matter how small and one thing to be grateful for. It gets tough but we just have to deal with it the best we can, have a great Xmas. Ann
Yeh I feel so good if I've managed to accomplish something extra, just at the moment I've had to keep my energy for work and what's needs to be done, as I don't get sick pay my plan is to tackle the ironing over the weekend lol merry Xmas to you and yours x x
