All your advice and just talking to people who know how it feels has helped me get over a very severe flare up last week. We are all different but lots of good ideas. Thanks for being there.

Glad to hear you have had a little quality sleep. My sleep was disturbed for the best part of a month before I even went to see anyone as all other illnesses and medications were probably the cause! I was even going to work after only 30 mins sleep a night - doc was flabergasted that I even managed the 26 mile journey let alone function in a positive way! Medications started for this and sleep got more and more each night. Morphine, Amitriptyline and codiene helped but I know its not the answer. Now my meds have more inpact and I am, touch wood, sleeping much better! Not perfect but I feel at work function is much improved - after all they say sleep is gods healing mechinism! Keep smiling; one day at a time!
Thanks to all - you have hit the nail n the head - the patients know how THEY feel - the medical staff cannot possibly understand. I think this web site is great for exchanging ideas and understanding.
You are most definitely right the meds do work most of the time, but you just do that little bit more than you should have and it will not matter how much many pills you take the damage has been done. The best medicine I find is my Grandchildren they no Grandad is not a well man and I try to get as active as I can within my limits, but it doesn't matter they know when I start to get pain they have a way of taking you mind of it and we sit and read one of their books it's like magic. Believe me it really work's take care you lot and thanks for listening again.
