Hi all! So pleased to have found this forum, and the support that it will give! I suffer three separate pain conditions and am on a huge amount of medications because of this. My health has never been great, and I am pretty much unable to walk or mobilise due to instability and pain. Thanks for reading x

Thank you so much for replying :) made me feel very welcome!

I've got a chronic pain condition in my hips/knees and lower spine, psoriatic arthritis and idiopathic intracranial hypertension. All three are 'great' fun in their own ways!

I think I'm just becoming frustrated with the medication I'm prescribed, as it's not helping get me to a level where I am even slightly comfortable!

Sorry for your pain. What happened? I have had help with laser nerve ablation and managed to get off lyrica.

They've never been able to give me a solid diagnosis or reason as to why my joints are so bad, and why I've actually got chronic pain. I had issues when I started walking, which sort of went away, but then when I started senior sch my knees became horribly painful. I was referred to a orthopaedic Dr, who said it was growing pains...had three years of physio and in and out of full leg plaster casts to stabilise, till my mum fought with the Dr who reluctantly agreed to do an arthroscopy. Despite him informing mum it wasn't needed, I ended up in surgery for five hours having a complicated meniscectomy and lateral release. My joints are more like a professional athlete, which doesn't make sense.

Hips and lower back got worse and worse, and now can barely walk :(

Hi there, sorry again about your issues , I hope in time you can get a proper diagnosis as to why your joints are as they are, I was similar to you my issues went on for nearly 20 yrs till I got my answers it shouldn't be like that at least you have the support of your mum , all I can say is keep going till you get your answers 😁.
