Hi

I am taking combined calcium and vitamin D supplements but I am not on Letrozole. I haven't had any stomach/abdominal problems with them.

Ditto to the above!

Hi Sue, I do take calcium and Vitamin D tablets twice a day, I do have constipation but this has been a problem for me since the surgery and chemotherapy in Nov 2010. I only started taking the calcium and vit D about 2 months ago so I never related the constipation with the tablets.

I don`t take letrozole though.

Not sure if this really helps in any way, but I do understand how horrible it is. No tummy pain but quite a lot of flactulance.

I have tried everything possible and nothing really helps all that much, I think in my case its lack of exercise.

Hugs from Tina xx

Thanks everyone. Not sure if my abdo pain is tumour or bowel related. i know that calcium tablets can cause bowel related problems. Have decided to stop taking the calcium and see what happens!

Am due to see the onc again in 3 weeks, she did say she would bring my appt forward if I had a problem but I think I can wait at the moment.

Hi Sue,

I take calcium and vitamin D tablets twice a day and did while I was on letrozole. They haven't caused constipation for me.

Hope you can get the problem sorted.
