Q10 and vitamin supplements research is spotty and inconclusive. National Cancer Institute site ...go to professional not patients to read their conclusions. One breast cancer study suggests recurrence when taking supplements. Other studies very small. Anyone have better info?

Yes I googled too and saw that information. Seemed to be mixed research, some suggesting it could be helpful with certain cancers and others as you say suggesting it increased the risk of recurrence in breat cancers.I was considering taking it but on balance as Im stable and dont want anything to interfere with my maintenance treatment, I've decided to hang fire. I will keep it in my 'file' of drugs alongside the COC regime for when I get a recurrence and have to stop the Olaparib.

Hi

If you go onto the Inspire forum - Ovarian Cancer section-( mainly but not all American) there is a poster named GlennC. (note the double n)

He has done absolutely loads of research on supplements of all types. If you read his info he lists it all together with the original research papers.

Worth a look if you are interested. Just search posters and put the name in.

Best wishes

HI FAY-

CAN YOU TELL ME WHAT AND WHERE TO FIND THE "INSPIRE FORUM"? IT SOUNDS INTERESTING.

THANK YOU,

Hi LeeAll you have to do is Google Inspire cancer forum and it should come up. On my computer I get the following: (but this is because I have registered)

inspire.com/groups/ovarian-...

You can read some posts but almost all are member only so I suggest that you register- it is free to do so.

So if you register you will be able to read all member posts and post yourself.

Like Healthunlocked there are many health and cancer type forums on the site.

I would suggest that if you do post that you do not use all capital letters as you usually do. On most forums it is considered to indicate an aggressive post and that you are shouting. They have many posters from around the world whose first language is not English so everyone is welcome.

Best wishes

Fay
