It looks like the morning tv programme Lorraine is doing a daily article on ovarian cancer. I noticed a piece yesterday and another today therefore presume each day this week. Seems to be around 8.40 each morning.

Daybreak/Lorraine
Just checked their website, looks like its not on the rest of week, only a 2 day awareness item.
Yes Lorraine is involved with an ovarian cancer charity so is already involved with raising awareness... I switched on too late yesterday so I only saw the tail end of it.
Unfortunately even though it is "OC awareness month" we don't hear an awful lot about it, I don't know whether it's my imagination we hear a lot about other cancers.
But every little helps best wishes to you both love x G x
I think the big problem is survival - or lack of it. There just aren't enough women out there who survive the ordeal and come back to make a big campaign for Ovarian Cancer.
We were in the waiting room of the cancer centre today giving out Ovacome's fabric teal ribbons. Very few women knew it was Ovarian Cancer Month - and they had Ovarian Cancer.
We made sure the ovarian cancer oncologists and nurses sported teal ribbons and asked if they might continue to wear them to raise awareness.
As you say - we're the Tesco Cancer! ha ha

Caught lunchtime programme on Radio 2 on Monday. Vanessa Feltz had people on talking about OC. Nice to know it is getting out there..........slowly.

There was also three pages in the Sunday Express magazine, my neighbour showed me it this week. Thought they could have had a teal background, though. It was PINK!!!!!! Good publicity though. It is out there a bit more than it used to be. I dropped off BEAT cards in two public halls and the Southend rugby club ladies' loos so far this week. A group of us are doing an awareness raising day in May too. (I know it's not OCA month, but it's to do with space being available in the hospital foyer, apparently). Got another couple of talks planned too....
Love Wendy xx
I too have been looking for 'evidence' that it is awareness month but have seen very little. Ovarian cancer is very rarely mentioned in adverts etc as they seem to favour the more well known cancers. The problem is we all know what to look out for with these cancers so all the more reason to highlight something like Ovarian cancer which is harder to detect.
I have yet to see anything teal in advertising, it's always pink!
I didn't even see anything at hospital yesterday!
