Hi Laura, I did ask again last visit but she feel it would not help also my lovely GP feels the same I can now feel and see the tumors and this does play with my mind a bit.
I'm under palliative care but still see my oncologist I will try again next visit but my daughters feel that becouse I'm not having all the side effects from treatment that 'mI better off with the time I have left to be able to enjoy some time with them.
I hope you had a lovely Christmas take care of yourself and all the best for 2019 Lorraine xx
You do sound like you know what you are doing, but I can’t help but want you to try once more.
I don’t think you have done the weekly Taxol before and because you are in such relatively good shape and you understand the steps you have to take to keep your digestion working, as well as keeping nausea under control, just one more stab at it seems reasonable.
If, you get no results after the first 6 weeks, no shrinking of the tumours, it will be obvious that it’s a lost cause.
I just remember how sick I was and desperate to get relief in my first 4 weeks of treatment and how relieved I felt a week later, when the Chemo began to work and the pleural effusion disappeared all by itself and I could breathe and eat again.
We’ve lost so many sisters this last year and I know how impossible this fight can be, but if there is a chance to win back a bit more, I urge you to take it.
So pleased to hear from you, Lorraine, and what a lovely photo. You look fab. I wouldn't have known you were dosed up to keep the pain at bay. Hope things go well for you in 2019. You deserve a it.
Hi Solange, Thank you it was a lovely day and yes I can manage the pain, I wanted the family to see me happy.I can manage the pain it's my mind that takes control sometimes I can now feel the tumors and this can upset me a bit but as long as I can keep the pain down it's not too bad.
I hope you enjoyed Christmas and all the best for 2019 take care Lorraine xx

What a fabulous picture Lorraine - and glad you had such a good Xmas day with family! You are not alone on the “ dosing oneself up to avoid the pain” me too and I enjoyed Xmas with my husband and. Daughter who came up from London to stay with us in our ‘temporary’ flat we have rented to be near the christie. I had a horrid eight days in our local hospital though after reacting to new chemo. Not fun! But got out in time for Xmas day - phew! It’s so ay for important to spend time with family indeed. May 2019 be as good as we all hope for! Much love from the other side of the world to you xxxx
