Hello,

I beleive this is a common problem with anyone having chemo, my Husband has CLL Chronic Lymphatic Leukeamia, while on treatment he has had neutropenia when his neutrophils go below 1. This happened on one occcurance so treatment was stopped and started again once the neutrpohils came back up to over 1. On another round of treatment he was given GCSF injections to stop this happening and this worked well.

GCSF (granulocyte-colony stimulating factor).

I hope this helps.

Hello

I had neutropenia a couple of times during my treatment for ovarian cancer (finished in October 2010). It's surprising how quickly the count can come up again though, it seemed to be especially important to rest at this time to give the body chance to do what it needs to do. The short delay in chemo doesn't seem to be a problem either.

Hope this helps, good luck.

Jane
