Had second chemo on monday and saw oncologist on Wednesday. He says things are going the right way. CA 125 dropping and lump shrinking. Feet and legs aching now, preventing me from sleeping. Still things can only get better so look forward to tomorrow.
Had a lovely meal on Thursday at The Barley Mow in Cowbridge when we eventually found it!!!! Way out in the sticks but worth the effort to find it.

Hi Jean,
So pleased that things are going in the right direction, sorry about the pains in your legs I got that badly when I was on the chemo (twice over) best wishes love x G x
Glad things are going well for you. I think the pains in the legs and feet go with the territory, unfortunately. Glad you had a lovely meal, it's the little things and treats that keep us all going.
Your good news is so nice to hear, hope it continues to go well for you. I have had chemo 4 of 6 and have some leg pains but they havent got any worse as the chemos have progressed
I suffer badly with restless legs and chemo seems to have made it worse. I can cope as things can only get better. I am going out for a short walk in this lovely sunshine to stretch my legs. Lol.
I'm really pleased to hear the chemo's having a good effect - worth the pain in the legs. However, I just wonder whether you could ring your GP, oncology nurse, or Oncologist to see if there's anything you can take to make the pain diminish. It sounds very uncomfortable.
I'm glad to hear you got our for dinner on Thursday. A good recommendation. I don't know that pub but will have to look it out!
Yes I am going to phone unit tomorrow as the pain is getting intolerable now. No let up at all even though I've taken ibuprofen. Still it's one day closer to end of chemo. Lol. Still being positive .
The Barley Mow is supposed to be in Cowbridge but its way out but really worth a visit. Our daughter bought the offer on Groupon and couldn't go herself so passed it on to us.
Thanks I am waiting for the GP to contact me re some painkillers. Contacted chemo unit first and they said its one of the side effects of carbo/ taxol. Oncologist asked me on Wednesday if I had problem but it didn't come on till Friday!!!!! Ah well onwards and upwards.
GP gave me Tramadol for the pain and advised me to contact onc re taking Amitriptyline. Thinks its a better option than strong painkillers. Took a Tramadol and won't be taking another!!!! Wow did it make me spaced out, never felt so weird in my life. Lol. Oh and it really didn't help that much with the leg pain. Legs not too bad this morning, just tingling which is easy to cope with.
I'm lucky I haven't had too many leg problems but just catching up with blogs as away last week, and just wanted to say I love your wig and all the posts about the blonde one fabulous xx
