I'm 4 years down the line and half way through my 5th line chemo of weekly taxol. Yesterday I had the results of my half way ct scan and it showed a good response. I HOPE that it gives others in a similar position to me HOPE too.

Hi Soapsuds,

I am on first line chemo, and it is so great to hear stories such as yours. When you first are told, and you are in a bad state anyway (pre op and pre chemo) you feel the end is around the corner, but so many of you ladies are finding away through this, it does give me hope. Thank you Soapsuds (great name). This is just what I needed to hear this morning. I am in v similar position -almost 4 years done the line and I've had 4 lines of chemo - now waiting for the next step and I was starting to give up HOPE. Interested that you are on taxol. Didn't you have that first time round?

Hi there!

I had taxol and carboplatin together as 2nd lijne chemo. Carboplatin 1st, caelyx 3rd, oral treosulphan 4th!!!

My lovely new oncologist has just come from the Marsden. She said that they had had quite a lot of success using taxol in this way. Smaller dose, less side effects but the weekly administration seems to keep up the onslaught..There is lots out there but needs to be tailored to the individual. Good luck. x
