Are these recent symptoms? Have you been to your GP? If not you need to go asap to find out what is causing the bloating and to have a CA125 blood test. Bloating is horrible and would probably contribute to your loss of appetite but it all needs checking out asap.
If you are having treatment do contact your specialist nurse. In either event do ring the excellent Ovacome helpline. Ruth is wonderful at giving advice and will do that online but it is helpful to talk to her. I have found a number of things stimulate the appetite but they don't help when you are feeling full all the time.
Good luck - I know I felt miserable when I couldn't eat and felt more and more bloated. I hope that you can get advice quickly.
You must be very worried and scared - anyone would be. When are you going to see the specialist? It will feel better then whatever they say because not knowing is the the worse part. It is good news about your CA125 test - so that's a positive to hang on to.
Have you got someone who will come with you to see the specialist? It is true what everyone says - you don't always take in everything at the time so a second pair of ears is useful. Also, do write down all the questions you have so you don't forget them.
Your appetite loss could be due to worry/stress, and if you are feeling bloated that wouldn't help. It is a something to discuss with the specialist.
I do hope that you see the specialist soon so that you will know what the problem is. Meanwhile hand on the fact that there could be a number of reasons for your symptoms. At least you have had the scan and things are moving forward towards a diagnosis. And keep an eye of this sight - there are lots of ladies out there who will have had similar experiences or who can give advice.
As Angela said, the appoitment with the specialist will inform you more and I second her suggestion that you take a 2nd pair of ears with you.
You might like to go on the BEAT line on the Ovacome site and monitor your symptoms before the appointment; this might also help you to think of some questions to ask at the appointment.
