Ovarian Cancer in the media

We don't get much press to highlight what ovarian cancer is so if you have time on Friday listen to Radio Lancashire. Presenter Sally Naden has a slot on her programme talking about it to raise awareness. It's between 11am and 1pm, sorry can't be more precise.

It will hopefully help people to be more aware of OC.

Thanks Hetty.

There is a live feed to Radio Lancashire here:-

bbc.co.uk/news/england/lanc...

Also there is a 'listen again' link under the mugshot of the DJ currently broadcasting which could be useful on Saturday to skim the programmes that were broadcast on Friday to try and find the feature.

There's been quite a bit in magazines this month, so it is improving! At the moment I'm not sure what my plans are but I've been asked to do a slot on Southend Radio's morning show about OC, so watch this space!

Thanks, Lizzie for your link. Will try to get onto it

Hi Sharon,

I listened today at the following link:-

bbc.co.uk/iplayer/console/p...

It started 1.20:00 minutes in the show and ended around 1:45:00 into the show.

I was one of the ladies that was diagnosed late. No single huge tumour, but lots of spread and 3c. Not responding to treatment, and little hope that I will last another 12 months, but let's hope the show helps more people.

Well done Sharon! Just listened to Sally Naden from last Friday and you were very good. I hope lots of people heard it and recognise any symptoms they may have.

Wish I'd found mine sooner - have big operation next week to try to remove tumours that have re-appeared. Keep smiling! Hetty x
