All

I just wanted to bring some positive news and hope to all Ovarisan Canver Patients whom are residing in the U.K

I saw my oncologist last week and she said that Elahere has now been approved in Europe :-

Extract from news :-

Mirvetuximab soravtansine (approved under the brand name ELAHERE®) was granted approval by the European Commission in November 2024

My oncologist said it will be approved for patients whom are deemed platinum resistant and have the protein called FR-α at 75%. I think you have had to have had three lines of chemotherapy but don't quote me on this - Ovacome team may have more info on this.

She said it will be available some time in 2025

I’m in he US and will probably have t as my next treatment. I’m so glad it’s been approved there! It’s a good option for platinum resistant people. The oncologists here think it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Hi Delia Just hope I'm one of the people whom has the 75% FR-a receptor. I've joined the Elahere FB group for Elahere and there are some people from the U.S whom only had 60% and have had really good results

I'm hoping more people from Europe will be offered it and do well. I'm just so grateful that research is ongoing for us all.

Thanks Win_56 that is great news. Access to additional therapeutics already in existence gives another option to ladies waiting for places on a trial.

Best wishes,

Frances

I just wanted to jump on here to say that my mum has just been told Elahere will be her next treatment — assuming some final testing this month. She’s at Guy’s in London. So it’s definitely now available in the UK! Xxx

Hiya! Yeah so she’s platinum resistant and just finishing up taxol and her oncologist seems to think this trial will be a great bet! Thank you so much for the good wishes — same to you, too💛

That’s interesting, Georgia. Will your Mum be part of the Gloriosa trial at Guy’s? Or will the Elahere be a standalone treatment for her? My wife is being treated there too so I’m curious that your Mum has been offered it there.

Hiya! I think it’s part of the Gloriosa trial — we’ve got one more taxol and then should be swapping to the trial in Feb. Apparently it’s having really good results! We’re under Dr Rebecca Kristeleit for context incase that’s useful!
