I am currently on Elahere. I am concerned about my CA125 rising. It is at 197 after six treatments. I started with 92, went back down to 50 after first treatment but a steady rise since. I was told that it is normal for it to fluctuate but…….. very concerned. Anyone else experiencing the same? I am a 12 year survivor but starting to think I am running out of options.
God bless you all!

Have you had a scan? I know someone on it who got Avastin added after they had to lower the dose of Elahere because of blurry vision and that worked. What does the oncologist say?
Yes, but they did not have a prior scan to compare it to because I was being treated at another facility before I started Elahere. The nurse told me that it is normal for the CA125 to fluctuate. I am going to have my next scan in a few weeks.
So I would ask your oncologist if the killing off of cancer cells by elahare is causing a temporary rise in your ca-125. Also I'm assuming you are post menopausal correct?
My mom had a similar experience. Hers went down from over 130 to 42 after 1 or 2 cycles of Elahere, then started a steady slow rise upward. Her doctor wasn't concerned until she became symptomatic about 3-4 months after it started to rise. She had imaging done and despite it rising, her tumors were stable and quality of life was good. My advice would be to have regular imaging and pay attention to how you are feeling.
