How did your ca125 level change with Avastin alone?

Hi Kevok, my Ca 125 has been steadily rising from 20 in Feb to 125 about 1 month ago. I've read that avastin has been successful at stabilising disease for some people in this forum. My oncologist told me when i started treatment that it either works or it doesn't work. My rate was doubling every 5 months and is now doubling every two months.

Avastin kept my CA at normal levels for years.

I would advise that you don't really pay a lot of attention to your ca-125 level. I was 4,000 and diagnosis almost 19 years ago. I now waiver around the 300 Mark and I am on avastin. Best to you

Hi Tealgirl 19 years congratulations! Mine was 4300 at diagnosis at present hovering around 300 not leaping which at recurrence was almost 1000 if I may ask how long have you been on Avastin? Do you get scans?

I've had 3 Avastin infusions my CA125 has increased with each one the last one it went up by 45 prior to that it was increasing by a lot more so maybe it's working my onc recently added added keytruda (I'm PDL1 negative) but has shown it can work with Avastin also added oral low dose Cytoxan really no side effects we'll see.
