So a month ago I contacted the GP with bleeding post meno bloating and constipation. As my mum had stage 4 primary peritoneal cancer then ovarian cancer I knew these were suspicious symptoms.

So FIT test done, pelvic exam,CA125

Trans vaginal scan and ultrasound plus full blood tests.

The GP rang to say everything is normal.

The cyst is simple with no blood flow to it.

Left ovary couldn't be seen so I get 4 monthly CA125 bloods and trans va scans for one year..

So really good news does anyone know why an ovary can't be seen.?.

One of my mum's couldn't however it was behind a mass.

Thanks for reading.

I would push for further scans (MRI and/or CT). If the ovary can't be seen, no-one knows whether it's OK or not. It could be hidden by a mass or just by normal tissue, but you need to know.

Most likely the ovary is hidden by a loop of bowel - that happened to me years ago. Next time they looked, it had moved and they could see it. Its' surprising how much bits of bowel move around - this was some years before I I got OC. Sounds like they're on the case and monitoring you with follow up scans.

Not what you're looking for?
